Thank you for financially supporting the ministries of St. Julia AMEZ Church. We believe it is the duty of every believer to honor the Lord with the first fruits of all he has provided to us (Prov. 3:9). Giving is also an act of worship to our Lord.
we believe our giving begins with the example of Abraham from Genesis 14. Abraham, the father of all who are justified by faith (Romans 4:1-3), has set the pathway not only for salvation but also in honoring the Lord with finances. After his success in rescuing his nephew Lot, he is met by the King of Salem (King of Peace). Abraham then gives ten percent – the “tithe” – to this king and priest, Melchizedek (Genesis 14:20). There is only “One” whom Melchizedek typifies, and that is Jesus! (Hebrews 7) Let’s meet our eternal King and Priest as Abraham did, exercising our faith not only for eternal life, but also in the finances God has given to us. May the Lord’s kingdom be furthered through our local church faith giving!
